How It Works

Sign up to bring home a US Forest Service mustang for the 2025 EMM!

​​

Pick-up locations:

  • December 6-7, 2024 in Glen Rose, Texas

  • December 12-14, 2024 in Cross Plains, Tennessee

Register by October 15th!​

Train

Riders and handlers have

6 months to train their wild horse for competition. 

 

Competition Divisions being offered:

​

  • ​​Adult under-saddle​

  • Youth in-hand

  • Adult in-hand​

Compete

​Preliminary classes include:

  • Handling & Conditioning

  • Trail course

  • Maneuvers (under-saddle only)​

 

The top 10 from preliminary classes will move on to the Freestyle Finals!

EMM Mustang Pick-Up

Horses are being provided by the U.S. Forest Service from a variety of wild horse territories!

Trainers will draw to select their horses in order.
