Each year the Extreme Mustang Makeover event offers a special competition for youth to train a yearling Mustang! In 2012, the youth trainers will adopt their yearling Mustang on March 31 and have approximately 120 days to train. At the event they compete in 3 areas:  Conditioning & Mannerisms, an In-Hand Trail Class, and a Showmanship Class. The trainers with the top 20 highest combined scores will come back for a freestyle finals performance to win prize money and awards.   • Estimated $75,000 in Prize Money plus Awards!
  • $50,000 distributed to the Top 20 Finalists
  • Addtitional $21,000 distributed to the Top 10 in three age divisions -- 8-10, 11-13, 14-18 (at time of application)
  • $4,000 for the Fan Favorite from the Youth Finals

Tentative Pick-Up Dates/Locations: May 11-12, 2012 - Palomino Valley, NV; Canon City, CO; Pauls Valley, OK; Springfield, OH; Piney Woods, MS; May 14-15, 2012 - Ridgecrest, CA

Competition Location:  Will Rogers Equestrian Center - Fort Worth, Texas
